Jon Connor definitely wasn’t lying when he said #ConnorSeason was upon us. First, the Peoples Rapper dropped Unconscious State, then the Best In the World Mixtape dubbed as “The Late Registration Of A College Dropout Who Had A Dark Twisted Fantasy Of 808s And Heartbreak”, and now Connor comes at us again with another lyrical massacre titled “A Tribute To The Notorious B.I.G. Vol. 1.”

It should be obvious by now that the use of wrestling references in raps is steadily on the rise and Smoke DZA is one of those clever rappers. So, DZA and 183rd took it upon themselves to drop a new mixtape titled Ringside 2 at the same time that WrestleMania XXX was going down at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans. For the second installment of Ringside, DZA gets R.F.C. member 183rd for production again, along with fellow wrestling fans Flatbush Zombies and A$ton Matthews to assist on some verses. Smoke DZA must have tons of music locked away seeing that he just released Dream.Zone.Achieve last week. http://www.creatingcultureworldwide.com/music/smoke-dza-183rd-ringside-2-ep/

The 3rd annual Austin Pettis Foundation Celebrity Basketball Game was tons of fun and for a great cause. Austin Pettis was joined by his St. Louis Rams Teammates TJ McDonald, Brian Quick and Trumaine Johnson with special appearances by NFL athletes and celebrities including Super Bowl XLVIII MVP Malcolm Smith. The night featured four quarters of exhibition basketball, a dunk contest, and a halftime performance by the World Famous “Monster Kids” break dancing crew! Sponsors included Cllctiv Brand and IMKing Clothing that gave out over $5000 worth of raffle prizes, product, gift cards, and much more! All proceeds of ticket sales, concessions, silent auctions and raffles will be benefiting the Austin Pettis Foundation
